Samsung vs LG vs Roborock robot vacuums: measure the home first

Dock installation, carpets and dirty-water chores matter more than a suction headline.

The three picks at a glance

  • Samsung Bespoke AI Steam — Investigate the exact floor-handling model and SmartThings workflow.
  • LG Roboking AI All-in-One — Compare freestanding maintenance with local installation and support.
  • Roborock S10 MaxV Ultra — Check whether vibrating mopping and detachment suit your carpets.

A robot vacuum can be an expensive inconvenience when it does not suit the home. We compare Samsung’s 2026 Bespoke AI Steam family, LG’s freestanding B95AWBH Roboking AI All-in-One and the Korean-market Roborock S10 MaxV Ultra. The LG name is the verifiable product name, rather than the vague “Homebot AI.” This is not three equally new flagship generations.

Samsung: read the model-specific floor guide

Samsung's 2026 guidance describes sensing and settings that change cleaning behavior for different floors and carpets. Its supported-model list includes VR90F015AG and other variants. The Bespoke name alone does not establish that every unit has the same capabilities. Match the complete model code to the relevant instructions.

A household already using SmartThings may appreciate keeping another appliance within the same app. That convenience is separate from cleaning performance. Read the floor guidance against your long-pile rug, moving chairs and cables under the desk. We also would not turn the word “steam” into a promise of disinfecting the entire floor.

LG: a water-tank model is a different purchase

Our reference is the freestanding B95AWBH. Its all-in-one dock automates dust emptying and mop washing and drying, but dirty-water chores remain. Ask what you must do after an automatic cycle, rather than imagining that an automated dock eliminates maintenance.

A plumbed version requires a separate model and installation check. Do not attach its convenience to a freestanding model’s price. LG also describes mop lifting over carpet, but a long-pile rug requires attention to clearance and material. Work out whether your home needs a mode that keeps a wet mop away from particular areas altogether.

Roborock: inspect the mop, not just the number

The Korean S10 MaxV Ultra page advertises 36,000Pa. That is a manufacturer test figure, not a shared measurement proving it removes more household dirt than these rivals. Floor surface, brush design and navigation also matter. A maximum suction number leaves too much out to settle the purchase.

The S10 uses VibraRise 5.0 vibrating mopping; it should not be described as a two-spinning-pad model. Mop detachment and carpet-first cleaning are more useful details to compare with your layout. Furniture clearance and threshold claims need the same care: measure your actual obstacles and read the conditions behind the demonstrations.

Start with the space around the dock

A recess large enough for the dock may still be too small to use it. The robot needs room to approach, and you need room to remove tanks and reach the sides. Check the space with doors open. A planned spot beneath storage or on a narrow balcony needs a measurement and a look at the installation instructions.

For a plumbed setup, confirm supply, drainage and installation eligibility. For water tanks, consider the filled weight and the route to the sink. If emptying the tank is the chore that will stop you using the machine, installation type matters more than a modest discount. Put installation charges beside the hardware quote.

Compare the work left for you

Hair around a brush, bags, filters and mops still need attention. Check consumable availability and prices before the first replacement becomes urgent. Dock cleaning features do not mean the interior remains clean indefinitely. A maintenance routine you will actually follow is a better long-term indicator than a showroom demonstration.

Camera and mapping features also deserve a look at app permissions and data settings. Obstacle avoidance is not a guarantee against every sock or pet accident. Consider any room preparation as part of the cleaning routine. We have not tested all three in the same home and therefore assign no cleaning-performance scores.

Where we would start

Keep only the machines whose dock fits and whose floor handling suits the home. Then scrutinize Samsung’s model-specific settings, LG’s installation and maintenance arrangements, and Roborock’s mop design. How much work remains each week is a more useful question than which suction headline looks biggest.
